Morgan Taylor

Morgan Taylor is a University of Calgary MFA alumni whose artworks investigate the body as a site of inscribed social meanings and identities. Her paintings aim to open up an imaginative play space to explore her relationship with gender norms, identity, and queer subjectivities. Her penchant for disruption inspires Taylor’s works to examine and interrupt suburbia’s idealized roles and ideals: the culture that cultivated Taylor’s own sense of normativity.

Taylor’s paintings have been exhibited at Contemporary Calgary, the Nickle Galleries, and can be found through Huffman-Nyikes.
